Frequently Asked Questions

Rural site, cold weather, remote delivery — here's what you need to know about our flatwork concrete service outside Calgary city limits.

Still have questions?

Yes. Our volumetric mixer trucks serve rural properties across southern Alberta — acreages, farms, ranches, and remote job sites. Because we mix on-site from raw materials, distance from a batching plant is not a limiting factor.

Traditional ready-mix trucks have a strict 90-minute window from batch to pour before concrete starts setting. Our volumetric system removes that constraint entirely.

Three reasons. First, no batch-to-pour time limit — because we mix on-site, driving an hour to your acreage doesn't compromise the concrete. Second, flexible quantities — rural projects often need odd amounts (say 1.2 m³ for a shed pad), and volumetric charges only for what you use. Third, mid-pour adjustment — underestimated? We mix more on the spot. Overestimated? Just stop the flow.

Traditional drum trucks force you to order full loads and rush pour before the concrete hardens. On a rural site, that's a bad combination.

Any residential or agricultural flatwork: shop and barn floors, equipment pads, grain bin foundations, driveways and access roads, cattle guards, silage pads, machine sheds, generator pads, water trough bases, and retaining walls. If it's flatwork or a foundation, we've done it.

We regularly work with acreage owners, farmers, ranchers, and rural contractors from Airdrie to Okotoks and out to Strathmore and beyond.

Delivery is priced by distance from our Calgary yard — standard for the industry. What makes the volumetric approach genuinely cheaper for rural work is what you save on the concrete itself: no minimum load charges, no returned-concrete disposal fees, and no need to over-order to hit a supplier's minimum.

Give us the site location when you call and we'll quote total delivered cost upfront — no surprises.

Yes, with proper protocols. Our trucks can deliver rapid-set mixes designed to reach full strength in 4–6 hours and work reliably down to -7°C without special protection. For colder conditions we advise heated enclosures or blankets on the fresh pour.

Because volumetric trucks mix on-site, we can adjust the accelerator dose to match ambient conditions on the day — something a pre-batched drum truck can't do.
